It's a thought that increasingly crosses my mind. Are Russia and China bombarding the UK with viruses to make us all sick?
I can't recall a time in the past where the frequency of catching cold or flu-like viruses in the UK population was so high.
Fact: China created the Covid-19 virus. What is less certain is whether it was released deliberately. For those who say there is no proof China created the virus, I ask this:
"What are the chances that a bat-related virus that infects humans would randomly first appear in a location in the world, and within 10 miles of that location there was an Institute of Virology tasked with creating bat-derived viruses potent to humans?"
I reckon the chance of that happening randomly must be about a billion to one. So therefore, it did not happen randomly. The Covid-19 virus came out of that damned laboratory in Wuhan.
So if we can all agree that China can create such viruses, then who is to say that they wouldn't stoop to release them within the UK, in order to sicken the working population and reduce the UK's economic performance?
And if not China, perhaps Russia might do such a thing. We have seen what they were prepared to do in Salisbury when two Russian agents smeared the virus on the door handle of a double agent. And with the war in Ukraine raging, they might feel it is legitimate to release virus into the UK population.
I mean it wouldn't be hard. Just a few capsules of virus smeared on various items handled by people, and preferably released in areas where people congregate (e.g. football stadia, night clubs, concerts, etc.)
Of course they are not going to release a virus that is lethal and novel, as that would be too obvious (well not yet, that may require war to reach a new level). No, instead, simply create some new cold and flu viruses (of which there are hundreds of varieties in existence already), and release these into UK society in order to irritate and sicken the UK population. Completely undetectable.
It's just a theory, but who's to say it may well be going on right now under our noses, and the government is keeping it all a secret.
Have you ever known a time like now when so many flu and cold viruses seem to be striking our population with such regularity? I can't.
